All panels supplied by us come with manufacturer guarantee of 15-year – however they last longer than that. Solar Panels have no moving parts and are made from steel, glass, copper and silicon.
The PV cells are where the silicon comes in, it’s the material that converts daylight into electricity, and that degrades at 0.5% a year. After 15 year the panel will be performing at 80% of its original output and that’s when a change is recommended.
Mounting solar panels on a roof in the correct way is integral to how much power they produce.
South facing roofs are the best for solar panels but East and West facing roofs are also perfectly good.
Panels can be fitted to most roofs depending on how they are constructed. For instance, thatched roofs, or the roofs of listed buildings, would not be suitable for mounting panels.

For instance, if your home is low D, a solar system will take it into a low C. Higher EPC ratings add value to your home.
